Don't now when or how, but the "Send Page As Link" feature in the Context menu is broken. The command is present in the Context menu, but when I click on it the email application (OE) nolonger opens.

Does anyone have any idea how I may have caused this, and how I can fix it?

Look in prefs.js and make sure this line is there.
user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.macros.mail.mailClient", "\"%ProgramFiles%\\Outlook Express\\msimn.exe\"");

Does anything happen when you click on the context menu?

It is a fault of Your Windows. Makes ure Windows has a default application for mail.

When I open the context menu and click on "Send Page As Link" nothing happens.

And OE is set as defalt in Internet Options > Programs.

Same thing happened to me. Only my user_pref reads:

user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.macros.mail.mailClient", "http://mail.google.com/mail/";

and the mail button on the toolbar opens my inbox as normal. Weird.

If anyone knows of a solution, do post. Likewise, I'll post anything I manage to dream up!

Try this:

Edit menu > configuration > browser configuration. Opens about:config. In filter bar at top type "mailto" (no quotes) - gives:

network.protocol-handler.warn-external.mailto

Double-click "value" to change from "false" to true.

Close layer.

Close K-Meleon.

Reset OE as default mail handler.

Open K-Meleon.

Try sending page as link - should open dialog in which you can check that OE is being called as default mail handler. Confirm.

Should work OK now.

If it does, next time check the "don't warn" box OR edit user:config "network.protocol-handler.warn-external.mailto" line to false.
