Compile K-Meleon?

From working with Gentoo I have sometimes seen real speed improvements from compiling programs on and for my processor and machine. I wonder if I would see such improvements by compiling K-Meleon? Or is it something that would be so complicated to get right that it wouldn't be worth the trouble? Could the program be distibuted optimized for specific processors, as Swiftfox is? Every little bit helps. thanks.

Only catch is there's no native K-Meleon for Linux...

But if you can do, it would be another welcome contribution, methinks... smiling smiley

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I mean, what about optimizing K-Meleon for Windows, with different builds for different processors (like Swiftfox does for Linux).
