K-MeleonCCFME0.08a5.exe installation.
Date: October 12, 2007 11:26PM
I am currently using KM 1.1.2. Can K-MeleonCCFME0.08a5.exe be installed beside or over 1.1.2. Or is it necessary to uninstall 1.1.2 before installing CCFME0.08a5?
I understand that CCFME0.08a5 is stable and even faster. So figured I might go ahead and try it, even though it's an ALPHA release.
Thanks.
Charlie

You can install it in other folder and preserve your K-M 1.1.2 and while you doing test with CCFME0.08a5.

To be on the safe side before your run the program, make sure that there is a file called profile.ini in the same directory where k-meleon.exe in your new installation. Hao is pretty thorough and it should be there. If not, add it with a text editor and put these values in it:
[Profile]
path=Profiles
isrelative=1

In K-MeleonCCFME0.08a5 what is the difference between K-Meleon.exe and k-meleonW9x.exe?

My guess would be that k-meleonW9x works for Windows 95, 98 and ME as opposed to NT, 2K, XP and Vista.
