I got the impression that the FAQ on the webpage is somewhat outdated.
Many answers include "as of version 0.1" or something like that, and others have become wrong in the meantime (eg. "javascript in the future" or "can't configure proxy w/ the program).

Don't you agree with me on that point?

You are absolutely correct. I'm working on the .4 FAQ, which will be more comprehensive than the existing FAQs, the .3 FAQ is available here: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=2936&group_id=14285
