Will placing 1.5a's Loader.exe in Startup cause any problems for 1.1.2 as long as 1.1.2's Loader.exe is [not] loaded in startup?

BTW, 1.5a is proving so stable that you may want to consider skipping 1.5 beta and go foward with a 1.5 Final realease.

AFAIK You are right.

The loader will make that an instance of the K-Meleon to which it belongs is pre-loaded. So it prevents start of another k-meleon before it is shut down.

AFAIK that is all. Since I use more than one K-Meleon on a regular basis I will not use the loader

I echoe caktus' view that 1.5a1 is indeed very stable.
Using Alain's & Douglas' information has allowed me to create a compressed pocket version of 1.5a1 that I've been using since the alpha release and I've experienced no issues of any kind.

Thanks Guy's for your input. I went ahead and tried it. I closed 1.1.2's Loader and removed it from Startup. The I loaded 1.5a's Loader. But when I would click on an Internet link/shortcut I get this page >

When I attempt to assign 1.5a as default
browser I get a 1.1 Setup Assistent i.e.

When I right click on 1.5a's Loader icon and slect About it indicates
So I guess 1.1.2 [would] have to first be
uninstalled. I wish there was A way to test
1.5a's default status with out actually
uninstalling 1.1.2. If 1.5a continues to
prove stable perhaps I [will] uninstall
1.1.2.

go to Adavanced Preferences > Browsing Options > Set as default Browser & click
or go to 1.5 folder and start setdefault.exe.

p. s. a setdefault.exe chooses by default the k-meleon in its own directory.
You can copy a setdefault from another location/install if You ever get a test version that has none
