Just found that K-meleon appears to work reasonably well with Clipmate (a windows clipboard enhancer www.clipmate.com), even though not listed as supported. It does seem to pass on the meta-data that clipmate uses to paste URLs etc in with clips.

Presumably this is due to firefox/mozilla compatibility
