in edit->advanced prefence->privacy & security->general
there is a choice not to save login data,
but my choice-box is gray and cant be checked.
How to fix it ? thanks in advance.

Use EDIT PREFRENCES GENERAL and on that page you will find checkbox for remember passwords. Check or un-check as you desire. Then click OK. The change will appear the advanced preferences menu. It will still be grayed out, but the checkmark will or won't be there depending on your choice.

My guess: until 1.5 Perfernces panel has had more "rights" than Advanced Prefs.
K-Meleon buffered the values of certain and only Preferences could manage them.
Some dialoges in 1.1 seem already prepared for 1.5 but they are grayed because they are still manged via the older Prefernces dialoges.
