I have K-Meleon 1.1.2 installed. Also have Adobe Reader 8.1.1 and Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0_03 installed but there are no plugins for these 2 programs listed in about:plugins in my K-Meleon. Where/how do I get these plugins? Thanks from a noob.

Windows XP
Browsers: IE 6.0, K-Meleon 1.1.2

Adobe: H:\Progies\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll
or where ever You installed Adobe. It is a autorecogized plugin that does not need to be in K-Meleon's plugins directory. Make sure that the Netscape plugin version is installed!

Java: C:\Progies\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\
or where ever You installed Java(TM) by Sun. Several dll.
It is a autorecogized plugin that does not need to be in K-Meleon's plugins directory. Make sure that the Netscape plugin version is installed! You must select support during install or configure it later. K-Meleon must not use the setting that sets the User Agent string to IE while Java is used.

Netscape plugins are used by all browsers except IE 5.x(2nd update) IE 6 and 7.
For some plugin installers it is best to have a dummy file called netscape.exe in the/a program directory (Opera has that smiling smiley
