Is the "Tiny Menu" feature that is an available add-on in FireFox (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1455/) something can that be done within K-Meleon? I am experienced in using the about:config screens in FireFox, so if there's a tweak I can do in K-Meleon's about:config screen, I'd appreciate some advice, as the Tiny Menu add-on is one of my favourites in Firefox and would very much like to add that functionality in K-Meleon. Thanks in advance for whatever assistance anyone can provide.

K-Meleon has that for long.

It is part of every Phoenity skin.

A few skins with extra Compact Menu button are possibly still here.

You can add a text based button to any skin:

This is the end of the text based button.

After You have installed/activated a skin with compact menu You can deactive normal Menus Bar via Advanced Preferences Menus Bar Options.


p. s. Updating toolbars.cfg of old skins appears a legal hazard. Best invest no time in it. Especially when the original skin creators such as AL did not document that they mixed other PPLs privatly owned images with K-Meleon GPL2 code.

Thanks Guenter. Is is possible to adjust this compact menu so that the left-click and right-click options are switched? On the other browsers I use, I use the left-click button to bring down my 'file, edit, view,...etc' menu and I would prefer to use the same format in K-Meleon if possible. You need the bold section. It should work. Edit the cursive section for Your own images.

Note that this code will prevent automatic translation to other languages.
That is why it was not used when I updated some skins.


jsnj's code is code for inside a bar.
To create a bar with a single button add extra

SomeBar{

}

Sizing of images for other than 16,16 is done like in this code snippet.

Hao's CCF ME versions have the main menu hidden by default,
right click on Preferences button to reveal the menu
