middle-click to background tab?

Hi,

I'm new to KM (actually, I used it a few years ago, before Firefox) and not yet used to all the configuration items it exposes to users.

Question: when middle-clicking a link, is it possible to make it (always) open in a BACKGROUND layer? I can't find such a setting, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Also, in Firefox one can middle-click a bookmark to make it open in a new tab. I can't find that functionality here. Is it something that can be enabled?

open your preferences, go to configs and to accelerators
I'm not sure but it should be commented there. If not, paste this:
%ifplugin layers
MButton = layers(OpenLinkBg)
%else
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUND
%endif
