You can replace the user agent in the file

/defaults/pref/I10n.js

Replace the two lines

pref("kmeleon.privacy.useragent4.name", "SeaMonkey 1.1.4");
pref("kmeleon.privacy.useragent4.string", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070802 SeaMonkey/1.1.4");

with the two lines

pref("kmeleon.privacy.useragent4.name", "SeaMonkey 1.1.8");
pref("kmeleon.privacy.useragent4.string", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 SeaMonkey/1.1.8");

The second line is wrapped in this forum textbox.
The part to replace in the old string is only :
rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 SeaMonkey/1.1.8

to get two unbroken lines only.

Save I10n.js , not as ".txt" but as "all files", and restart the browser.

Yes, that seems to be the case.
I started Seamonkey (Windows) in Linux with wine and
had set wine to fake Windows 2000.
In Windows XP , Seamonkey might give out Windows NT 5.1
as the identifier for the system.

Regards and happy week-end.
