Does Windows Update work with it

AFAIK, Windows Update (v4) uses all ActiveX and VBScript / ASP. As far as I know it will not even work with embeded MSHTML in a MDI frame (e.g., MyIE2, SmartExplorer, &c.). It only works with the actual Iexplore.exe binary.

And if you actually follow the link, you'll find that it's DEAD.

MS is doing pretty much everything it can to harass users into going with IE.
