I'm trying to get s.o. to use K-M. The person told me that she won't use anything that looks different than IE6 as that is what she is used to.

So, now, what's the best, most identical looking and "feeling" IE6 skin for K-M (1.1.x) that's out there?

IE6 is gone from my system for a long time now so it's difficult for me to tell and there are probably many more skins than what's in the themes wiki ...

You can use Klassic skin include in all K-Meleon versions, it's like IE6 theme.

Al's WhistlerXP theme looks pretty good. It can be found here:
