People have differing philosophies about Ad-Blocking. Some want it in the browser; some like to keep it separate from the browser. I belong to the latter group. I use Ad Muncher which works for almost all browsers. Install it once; it will keep every browser on your machine free from adds.

I tried that of course. even on two other systems.
I really don't understand what is the problem.
I have made AdblockPlus work with 1.5.a2 by updating the version with the last of W. Pallant.
Now it doesn't work anymore. When it worked, Adblock opened the window to choose the site where to find rules.

so it does not work at your side also, ah, then i can set my mind at rest, and feel a little less stupid.. and what about adblock.css? does this neither work at your side? i mean, the announcement tells about a problem with it, but not that it is not working.

For me, the replacement of adblockplus.jar doesn't change the problem.
In the State bar, the ABP icon has a warning image.
In the toolbar, no right-click menu.

It works now. It seems that it was necessary to delete xpc file and mfl file.
No more icon in state bar.

I have found a bug in my setup. I'd forgotten to check pref in the script, and the two js files weren't installed in the folder. I have corrected it, and it's online.
This last setup version includes Googer's jar file.

Yes, and I think the modifications wheren't needed.
For 1.1.4, I haven't had crash since I install it (the last version for 1.5), but it's indicate that it can crash.
The setup handles last version + modified jar + correction of my previous error.
