Search toolbar and URL bar search using different engines?

I make extensive use of the URL bar to do google searches, eliminating the need to install the Search Bar plug-in.

However, I also like to search Wikipedia a lot, which requires that I either navigate to Wiki first, or type in "search keywords site://www.wikipedia.org" each time.

Is it possible to install the Search Bar plug-in so that it uses one search engine (like Wikipedia, for example), while doing a search using the URL bar uses a different search engine (like Google, for example)?

Also, is it possible to install multiple instances of the Search Bar plug in, if you want to use multiple engines but you don't want to go through the extra step of choosing the engine each time? Like, could you have two or three (or more!) seach bars at the top of your browser, each one pointing at a different engine?

I keep a really minimal look to my K-Meleon browser, so I have lots of real estate I can use up top for the search engines I use most frequently. I'd love to be able to have google set up as the engine for the URL bar, have one search bar for Wiki, another for Dictionary.com, and another for eBay.

That'd be cool. Thanks in advance!

Search plugin has options to choose the default search engine, or another.

It's exactly what you need.

Options are, after install, in the menu:

Tools > Web search > Search Bar > Define engine

The setup is on my Extension page

Excellent! Thanks for the help!

Now, is it possible to configure so that there are multiple search toolbars?

Like, if I installed the plug-in a second time with a slightly different name, (say, "searchbar2.dll") will I get a second search bar at the top that I could direct to a different engine than either my default engine OR the engine my first installed search bar uses?

Or, if I try doing that, will K-Meleon get hopelessly confused?
