how can I install the firefox extension download statusbar into kmeleon, i think its an xpi file. i use this because it has a dialogue box to get a virus scanner to scan downloaded files. i use clamwin which is an on demand scanner only-this is my preference. not a techie so id need someone to walk me thru the install instructions.

Only extensions listed at Alains site, here :

can be installed directly to be used with K-Meleon.
Other extensions, that are used with Firefox, would
have to be adapted, which is often not possible or
hard to achieve.

AFAIK Download statusbar manipulates (the statusbar) which Firefox makes from XUL.
AFAIK an extension manipulating a visible XUL item of Firefox cannot be adapted or installed for K-Meleon because K-Meleon's user interfaces are not from XUL but from C and Windows native items(that is why K-Meleon can be faster). Further IMHO the Download statusbar extension shows the download status of a piece of chrome (Firefox download manager) which does not exist in current K-Meleon chromes.
