Current skin: back.bmp can be regarded as such. You can use any bmp that You like provided it is called back.bmp.

I change the original back.bmp which is grey for a very pale yellow on my Klassic skin. I know it does not change any of the menu or toolbar size, but it just "looks" like they take less of the screen.
Wallpaper K-Meleon for Desktop?
I have uploaded to Rapidshare a simple KM wallpaper sized
800x600 , to answer the demand of remussatala. I hope he likes it.
Download the zipped bitmap file from here :

Unpack it and right click on the desktop > properties > Desktop
Browse your computer to where the bitmap is, and doubleclick on the file.
Select "stretched"(or similar) at the second dropdown menu.
Clicking on OK loads the bitmap as your desktop background.
Some more KM wallpapers would be useful.

This was just a first quick attempt with existing
material.
I am waiting for artists to come up with their
own imagination. They will certainly be able to
create fancier works.

I don't know how useful this will be, but I hope someone can add text to say it is K-Meleon. I cannot see how to make text with a transparent background so that I can add it as a layer.
And what software have you used? I only can see lines with photoshop and nothing with paint :-?

For the format don't care about it, because then who downloads it, could convert it to bmp or use active desktop for any other format. But if you care, it supports jpg, gif, png, bmp, tga, you know. But as native, bmp.

About JamesD link; there are a little chameleon wallpaper series. Are pretty, but this aren't based in K-Meleon browser.
