If you have no personal macros that you want to
take with you from the old version in Windows, you can easily
add a K-Meleon installation of the official actual
K-Meleon version K-Meleon 1.1.5 and wait for the official
update to version 1.1.6, which will be released soon in
due time.
I would download KM1.1.1.5 as a 7z file.
If you should not have 7zip on your computer, download it
from
http://www.7-zip.org/ first.
Extract K-Meleon1.1.5 and extract it into a fresh folder.
Starting K-Meleon double-clicking k-meleon.exe in the
K-Meleon main folder, will use your earlier k-meleon profile
if it is in C:/Documents.../Application data/yourusername/K-meleon.
If the result is not satisfying, save your earlier bookmarks
and setting to a safe place by copying it from the profile
folder of your earlier K-Meleon.
KM1.1.5 will then create a new profile in the folder
mentioned above, and you can copy back your personal
settings and bookmarks from the saved copy of your earlier
version's profile.
Should you have some personal macros and settings from your
old KM 1.02 version, you can wait until I will offer an
updated 1.02 version containing Gecko 1.8.1.15, which I
plan to bring out within a couple of days.
If you do not use Linux, or the old macro system, it is
preferable to use the official versions most of times.
Using the 7z version will not erase your earlier version
and you can use them both, although not at the same time.
