Yeah, but the final will not be much different from the RC anyways.

Seems to me the 1.5's RC is pretty much it's own final release.smiling smiley

Caktus, I do not understand You:

The translations take time. The work starts when the RC shows no bugs
and not many features that influence menus are done during that time smiling smiley

= the final will not be much different from the RC anywaysgrinning smiley

@ DasFox:

IMO, I installed K-Meleon 1.5RC in a new computer or OS reinstalled from zero.
If you didn't used 1.1.X before not need it now. (I like says to convert old macros)

P.S.: DasFox, Have you changed your nickname to DasMeleon, now that you use K-Meleon instead of Firefox? grinning smiley tongue sticking out smiley

Newer is not always better. IMHO test out for Yourself - this is no Firefox where You have a hard time to get different versions going grinning smiley. I use the German RC as default already. If You ask me 1.5 with its new tabs is faster and even less resource hungry than 1.1.x. & I adore the XUL-made Preferences Panel...

You can install more than one version if You deselect multy user support ( = if You use as admin or know to set privileges, no multi user support means separate, independent profiles in each install directory) or create a profile with extra name instead of default before You install the next version. The first option is used chiefly by PPL that test - and or have a multi boot system. A k-meleon with Profiles in install directory can easily use the same Profile from different systems.

p.s. German RC. I was given to test. I even found an ancient typo - I had never noticed it in years (I never see any typos smiling smiley ).

Thanks, well it's getting busy in this thing trying to find preference settings...

The developers should keep most of the preference settings in the 'Edit' - 'Preferences' section...

Most of the stuff in the 'Tools' menu should be in here...

Btw I don't use passwords where can I turn this off?

THANKS

In 1.1.X you can disable in Edit -> Preferences -> General -> uncheck "Remember Passwords" option.

In 1.5 go to Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> General -> uncheck "Remember login data" option.

this is not an accurate statement, caktus. an "RC" release is not an officially finalized product. there may be some bugs in the RC that will not show up in the final version.
