Minimum font size setting messes up web pages

For example many titles and links which are larger in size than the the text by default, are rendered in much larger sizes than they should be and way out of proportion to the text.

how do you work around that with css or in user-pref ?

I've sorted it out.

* {font-size :14px !important;}

in Usercontent.css works much better.

Plus

* (font-family: tahoma !important;}

increases the readability for me

@ Arrow

I like this in the css file. Makes things much better for my old eyes. I do have a question. Do you know of a way to make the size invoke only when the font would have been smaller. I notice that my homepage http://www.perigee.net actually shows in a that is less that it did before.

I think I have found a way. I kept the tahoma font in the css and commented out the font size there. Then I used 14 as the minimum font size in EDIT - PREFERENCES - PAGE DISPLAY - FONTS.

Now KM only increases small fonts for display.

I see what you mean, I'm glad you found a solution.

I don't know much about css so maybe someone else could advise a usercontent.css solution for pages where larger font sizes are reduced by the code I posted. I'm also interested in it for my ie based browser.
