So far so good!

Except:

last saved session includes too many tabs when browser is re-opened.

For example: When I have 5 tabs open at the end of a browsing session and I close 3 of those tabs immediately before closing ccfme

Then all 5 tabs will open on ccfme restart.

This is not entirely new - it tends to happen throughout different 7/8/9 versions

Cookies and passes transfer o'k from previous installation but passes saved for sites that I do not keep cookies for - do not appear at login.

Last session bug still unresolved.


Might I suggest a refinement to the Undo feature.

I'd like to see the list of undo sites immediately from right click rather than in submenu because all the other items in that right click menu are already in edit menu or available via shortcuts.

Example:

I forgot to put wallet.dll in components folder which caused all password/cookie problem. You can download it from :

Post it in components folder and delete two .dat file in the same folder and restart K-Meleon, it should solve your problem.

I've noticed that hotkeys open in a new tab a lot smoother and faster in CCFME0.085 than they do in CCFME0.09 releases is that because of the difficulties with the different gecko version or the different internal configuration with hotlink.lua moved into autoload folder on v.09 ?

I have hotkeys set to open in a new tab and if I decide to open
four or five of them in very quick succession from the keyboard they will all activate without a lag in .085

Whereas with .09 they activate more slowly and may or may not open from the third or fourth on if I do it quickly.

I've tried it on a virgin install without my extended hotkeys all I've
added is opennew(theurl) instead open(theurl) for each hotlink in hotlink.lua and it still lags when trying to open them at speed.

Fine version this beta4V1. I only have problems with some addresses (e.g. http://webmail.hogent.be) and there is something strange in hotmail: I can see my mails but when I try to open or delete them in the status bar there appears the message: c._oldDisplay is undefined. How can I solve this problem?

see first post of this thread for the download link to beta4 v2. and yes, it can be installed over the previous version of K-meleon CCF as long as you specify the existing folder where K-meleon CCF was previously installed. By default, beta4 V2 will install in the "K-MeleonCCFME0.09Beta4V2" folder so pay close attention to where you install the newer version.

Excellent build Hao. One tiny bug. If you change the behavior of the Url bar tab from Open in current tab to Open in new tab, whenever you Download a file, it brings up one of those Dr Watson warnings that something has stepped on Windows toes, ask you to send a report and then kills K-M. That is the only flaw I could find. Thank you.

Hi Hao thanks for the offer, as you are probably aware I have made one or two already

I notice that anyone who has access to the browser can easily view user names and passwords - I'd prefer that they either appear in encrypted form or are protected by a master pass.

My other suggestion is for cookie handling:

An exclusion list to keep wanted cookies

Sorting out cookies to keep and delete makes the current system unviable for me so I use Cookie Monster instead.

Ideally my preference is to globally exclude all cookies except for
a small exclusion list that I regularly require for forums etc.

Most sites don't require cookies for casual browsing

1. It would be nice someone can come up with a luamacro solution for noscript and as a matter of fact, I myselft am not intending to do that. It would be better to be a separate project instead of inside K-MeleonCCF ME from my point of view...

2. Have you tried F11 fullscreen mode, you won't see the tab bar and you can cycle betwwn tabs using ctrl tab

Wow, this thing just keeps getting better and better. The button to use IE is useful to me becuse I often need to make sure a page looks right in both browsers. I have always liked the icons to enlarge and shrink the page, and now just the type itself. And all of the traditiona KM virtues of configurability, privacy oiptions, usuability. I am going to try to use KM-CCFME as my "work" browser now--that is tough because I teach online college classes and the platforms that I have to use are very dependent on the browsers (can you say "lazy programmers" ;-) It would be replacing FF3.0.0.4 as my work browser, if it works.

I am feeling stupid at the moment, so I will just ask all my questions at once.

1) I evidently have to install a plugin to get the "load page in IE" option? Where do I get it, or do I just activate it? If so, I can't find where to activate it. I told you I was feeling stupid.

2) about:config doesn't work (not that it is meant to) so is javascript.options. jit.content, the one that activates the newer javascript interpeter, is that on by default, can I turn it on in the js file, should it work? I checked and it appears it is on by default in /defaults/pref/kmeleon.js. I hope that soudns right.

3) Will a spellcheck work? Again, where could I look for that. I have an old one here in my download directory, but I can't remember where I got it. It is KExtspellcheck110.exe

4) Do all Bookmarks go to the Bookmarks Toolbar? Can I make another folder to keep the ones I don't want on the Toolbar? (Without that folder showing up on the Toolbar?)

5) This outperforms SRWare Iron on my machine 2150 x 1885 (sunspider)!!! not a question--just another wow.

Thanks for your K-Meleon build! I've been running into a problem though when trying to use it on a portable flash drive between computers. For example, when I try to run it from drive H after running it on drive F I receive this error:

This error occurs every time I switch computers when the drive name changes. Is there any way to correct this? Thanks
