yesterday, while replacing the flywheel(for the very first time with 200,000 km on the clock!), the jack snapped and the transmission fell right on my arm.. luckily for the tranny since my arm taking the blow saved it from any damage. ironically, i have barely recovered from a fractured rib when a shifting spanner flew right into my chest couple of months ago.
moral: if you lack the proper tool, don't play mechanic.

it's much better now, thanks charlie. i think some of the injury was caused when i tried to roll out the tranny off my arm because i couldn't lift it with my other free arm, it didn't hurt instantly.. i even finsihed up the job and took the car for a quick spin; it wasn't till next morning that the pain really hit me.
