I am new to K-Meleon and have been looking for a new browser to use. One item I absolutely require is RoboForm. this program is like my right arm. Can RoboForm be used with K-Meleon? And if it can, how do I activate it?:s

1.) Yes, but the Roboform team declined to add K-Meleon to the supported list.
Copyright prevents that we change anything but have to live with workarounds.

2.) alain adapted Roboform to K-Meleon 1.1; it is not updated to 1.5.x.
It has a problem with K-Meleon 1.5.x.

3.) How to:
a.) Download from jujuland K-Meleon Extension Page.
c.) Install in K-Meleon1.5.2.
d.) Delete ./K-Meleon/macros/roboform.kmm (It is AFAIK not compatible to 1.5.x)
e.) Load URL chrome://roboform/content/roboNavigatorOverlay.xul (do not use it!)
f.) Load Your home page.
g.) Save both pages as Session with name e.g. Roboform. Mabe set it 2 load at startup.

About 3.e) the XUL window opened in e.) It has a Roboform bar that is at the top.
Never use it & best close it within 10 seconds. Else it can crash K-Meleon and You need 2 restarts to get the browser going again.

You can set & use K-Meleon windows or tabs that have Roboform Bar at the bottom.

p.s. I set Roboform to automatically fill forms. It pops up & I do not need a bar.

BTW. Forgot to mention - download and Install Roboform - new version work with our old helper dll.

Main problem with auto fill of forms is that scripts can trigger pw manager and transmit logins to other destinations before you have chance to verify the web page you are on.

Obviously doesn't matter for everyday logins , I'm thinking more about banking etc

Yes, AFAIK in the past all browsers had cross scripting problems.
But IMHO You do banking in a new browser session.
After banking You stop the banking session and start a new session to surf.
And You go from a hand typed URL or a bookmark link and never from a mail link or search engine provided link smiling smiley
