Hi guys, can anyone help me? I was browsing for Mortgage and found an auction site, only it looks different from other. I haven’t used [spam deleted] type of site before, has anyone else? It seems like it could be worth a go : )

you mean if the site checks out? well..it is legit and not phishing and it's registered with fdcservers in chicago,il.. the question is if thery aren't scammers.. check their policy and terms first. always read the fine print.

I understand that in some areas of Detroit homes once valued at 70,000 are going fot 7-9,000. I saw on the news one fella bought a nice home in Detroit for $1 and that the only problems were some copper, fixtures and tiles were pulled/stolen out of a couple of bath room walls. I'm sure $1 is an excetion to all the rules, but it sounds like homes are being auctioned off like pancakes at a Sunday curch breakfast.

Computer crashed, bookmarks seem to have disappeared-how do I restore them?
Hopefully this is a pc of cake for people in this forum. Anyone know?

Search bookmarks.html & bookmarks_backup.html in %apdata% or where You had Your K-Meleon profiles. Open the b*.html files You find and look which is the newest bookmarks file. They look a little different as html but You'll recognitze the right one. Place the right one in current profile.

A OS crash normally damages only the path info for the used profile not the content.

1.) ok.

That is why I asked for native comments.
They could tell whether it sounds like a real question.

2.) Maybe change topic to "help I lost my bookmarks" and clear all ones above.
Or split lost bookmarks and sanitize the rest.

p.s. AFAIK it has some impact on search engines rating if done like "Jujuland's K-Meleon Extensions Page". Here the url is combined with the message.

1000s of links leading "here" are no good. "Here" leads to Adobe, Java, MS... already. You get no top search engine entry for that.

To find out whether a page has a bad reputation You use Google with it name as keyword. Normally You will find comments about past records.
