Yes, I want to optimize K-Meleon for dialup.
I have a middle of the road desktop running XP, specifically it has an AMD Sempron 3400+, 1.81 GHz, 2GB Ram.

Yogi, ever since Pentium 500 was created all new PC are fast for K-Meleon.
The tweak guide is almost the same for all Mozillas. Unused prefs are overlooked.

Speaking about speed optimization, is there an undocumented hack that will stop K-M treating a local proxy as an usual server?
My workaround is to increase the number of connections to a server but it's by far not the ideal solution.
