windows-alerts when watching movies fullscreen

Hi there,

I'm often watching movies in fullscreen-mode on my notebook. The problem is that I don't get windows alerts then, so sometimes I don't realize my battery is low/empty before the notebook switches itself off.

I'd also like to get alerts when I got new email or icq messages.

But the most important issue is getting alerts my battery is low while watching fullscreen. Do you have an idea how I can achieve that?

Thanks in advance!

have you tried enabling audio alerts.. when battery is low, it should play a wav sound

first open your control panel>sounds and audio devices>

under sounds and audio devices dialog, clikc on sounds tab:

you will now find a list called program events.. and under that you should find 2 entries:
- critical battery alarm
- low battery alarm

assign 2 different wav sounds to those events and now when watching in fullscreen and your battery starts running out, t will play something from your laptop speakers.
