what do you mean by drag and go? in kmeleon you can highlight any line of text and right click and select search..is that similar to what you want?
url drag and go is not good because that's url torture and against url rights.

No. Like desga2 I do not know either.

For me it looks like: Hao has created another mouse plugin extending the official. Just try what is supported by modules in current use with official. Hao's mouse plugin has features i do not use - so I use smaller officvial one.

p.s. Hao first wanted mouse-drag... in 2004!

& AFAIK learned to create it.
Drag is potentially compatible.

Once text is selected/highlighted, click the 'go' button or click the 'search' button. Very similar to drag n drop, just without the dragging :-)

This feature first appeared with MYIE many many years ago.

Hao's versions do feature have it and personally I have always found it indispensible, so much easier than other methods - more a tiny flick of the mouse than a drag.

Long overdue in the official KM -one of the reasons I don't use it.

I have another browser that lets you set different engines for the direction of drag - so if you want google for example drag up, google images drag left, wikipedia drag right, etc

All done by holding left mouse button which is far more convenient than mouse right button

thanks all for answering patiently.

i knew that Hao's ccf has that kind of gesture, but i dont know about it for

official km. in fact, in China, most people like these two functions, as it needs

less steps than right click to achieve the same purposes.

i asked because i found a gesture kplugin that could be used for official km made

by a Chinese guy using part of Hao's codes ,though it's still not perfect at the

moment, but he is still updating, it will be better and better.

with this plugin,if you drag the url bottom-right until you see a crossing and

drop it, the new page will be opened in background tab, for selected text, it

will search using your default search engine; if you drag the url bottom-left,the

new page will be opened in a new tab, for selected text, it will search with

baidu(a popular search engine in China).

i knew that Hao's ccf has that kind of gesture,

Hao's mouse plugin variant was compatible with all K-Meleon versions, originally.
It had rocker gestures... I stopped using it because it was bigger and I did not use the added capabilities. Maybe it still is compatible?

IMHO best to try. Get the one in use with the GRE You will be using and try.
The expected behavior is "a new plugin was found..." and that some features work.

thx for reading my post.

p.s. if You find new compatible kplugins in CN. Maybe take them here or encourage makers to post here too. It would help to improve K-Meleon.

I tested CCF's gestures.dll plugin in Official release some time ago.
You only need replace in \K-Meleon\kplugins folder gestures.dll (rename it to gestures.bak) to CCF's gestures.dll.
It's not fully functional (some errors and crash in some functions) but drag%drop links worked (If I remember good).
