On request, I have uploaded a new variation
K-Meleon-NX-1.5.3-18122 .
This an No-Xul adaptation of K-Meleon-1.5.3-18122 .
Gecko 1.8.1.22/20090605 from Seamonkey 1.1.17,
usable both in Windows and Linux.
The advantage compared with the normal K-Meleon-NX-18122
lies in the fact, that real tabs are usable here.
Note :
This version works only, if you have the files msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll in your system or in your K-Meleon main folder. If you need these dll's (probably only necessary for Linux), look for them in the Internet.
If necessary in Linux, put them into the K-Meleon main folder.
The NX No-chrome concept is used here. Thanks to Hao Jiang and Dorian.
Extensions are not supported, because there is no Xul.No RSS reader or Flashblock included because there is no Xul.
The profile will be created in the K-Meleon root folder, if you want it in ".wine" in Linux, rename profile.ini to profile.ini-renamed before the first browser start.
No Preferences Panel included because there is no Xul. Changes from default are possible from the menu bar or editing the configuration files in the profiles directly.
Ad-blocking by userContent.css .
A javascript button has been included. After changing permissions for javascript, reload the page.
In Linux the URL bar is only usable with more recent wine versions.
If you are using an older wine version, use the URL button to open an URL prompt.
Real Tabs are now implemented. Tabs are now usable in Linux too,
while Layers were not working well.
Tabs instead of windows have been set as a default for external links here.
User agent has been set to Opera 9.23 for better compatibility, but can be changed in the menu Tools/User Agent.
Many additional Search Engines in the menu bar, opening in a new window.
Macros to open YouTube videos without javascript, go to links in Googlecache, open the current page in Googlecache, and go to a
Google Image Search image directly have been added to the right click links menu.
Keyboard shortcuts:
Page back : (right)ctrl + left arrow
Page forward : (right)ctrl + right arrow
Close Window : (right)ctrl + down arrow
Go to home : (right)ctrl + up arrow

I know it's aimed at Linux over Wine, but this feels really slugish on my P3 512 MB RAM XP SP2 workstation...
Downloaded, extracted, made a few teaks, tested, slumped. Re-extracted, tested vanilla, still slugish... Will keep my Seamonkey Alpha build for the time being.
slow in linux to but I have som tweaking to do first then maybe it will right itself.
Glad to know I'm not the only one finding this...
