For many years I used to see very friendly, polite and useful posts from guenter.
What is happened?
About Iron vs Kmeleon...
For me there is not VS. It sounds AND.
I like Kmeleon from Hao, but more I use Iron I like it more.
Every browser for concrete tasks.

What is someone that goes for a first post to a strange forum with such a potentially provocative post?

IMHO he does not want one answer but as many as possible.
In my vocabulary such behavior is listed/labelled as trolling for answers.
Can be that You have other words for it - or for the person that fishes like that.

I gave an answer - so why do You imply my answer/fish was no good?

p.s. i also have iron installed. Reason in my post. & it does not phone home.
Why I mostly use K-Meleon is also in my post. So why I would use some K-Meleon with JIT script compiler for script heavy pages does not need long explanation.

BTW. I'd rather spent time experimenting with AgentStrings to solve a real question/problem.

Iron: its not really updated promptly when main chromium /google chrome gets updated for vulnerabilities.

KM-CCFMe: I like hao's work and clearly prefer CCFME over Iron anyday.

First, I am very sorry if I offended You, honestly, I did not want to do it.
For my opinion common tone of your answer was too sharp and I would like that all posts were as friendly as it is possible.
Second, where can a member post his question (maybe not so etical) about Hao's Kmeleon and SRware Iron? On which one forum? I myself tried login to SRware forum without any success.
It is not a big crime to ask questions like Youhei's question. And every question on a forum deserves its kind answer. May be I am wrong. My apologies again.

I know that English is a secondary language for both of us. For many here it is.
I did not try to pick on Your English which is better than mine.

You wanted to know why i was less friendly and shorter than normal.
I tried to tell you - You deserved a polite and detailed answer.
With my limited English & I merely tried to explain the reasons why my reply was laconic.

IMHO we do not want first timers starting vs IE, Opera, chrome ... discussions.
I was asked what I thought & I answered to the point
In other forums such post are silently deleted.

Last not least: Any person can post help requests here for all k-meleon versions.
This includes K-MeleonCCFs. And even for Ronin browsers that lost their support forum and developer - even I'd personally try to counsel.

For forum members this posting can include also critical questions & comparing with other browser and that's functions he misses.

Every day help for new programs non behaving OS or web pages that does not let K-Meleon do normal functions...

& many more things that a member can post and a first-time-poster cannot.
A Newbee cannot come to advertize his page...
May get short shrift for some other issues.

i agree with gunter.. we've seen posts like those before start all sorts of trouble and non-productive arguments.

youhay's post was obviously non-tech and appears to be the provocative type. if there's something in particular he needed to know or compare he/she should have been more specific..he would have got good responses then

It was not a regular prison in usual understanding.

Yes, my opinion also: Gullac is not the right word but unlike You not all PPL from Western countries do know. To me Gullag was a system to silence and work to death.

But IMHO disrupted was only pulling my leg because I was not friendly.

AFAIK English say trolls live under a bridge. I read in answers to troll posts go back under Your bridge. But I do not have such things seen often. And i am too willing to answer normally and do only notice when a pattern like K-Meleon vs ... is repeated.

The not to point asking is trollish (to me) - no specific problem - like what has better performance on my PC. I felt that a broad detailed answer to this would sap time better invested to more concrete problems.
