making a recovery disc (technical level moderate)

I wonder if anyone could remommend a program (preferably a small freeware) that would do the following?

When I put a fresh installation of Windows XP on my dual core pentium laptop and go through the motions of putting my favorite accessories on like winrar, Kmeleon, a good screen shot utility, tinyspell, google sketchup, etc, etc...

It's enough of a pain in the butt to install from my HP system discs because they require constant babysitting for an hour.

....is there a utility that will simply open a window with a little box in the middle that asks something along the lines of

"Place a blank cd in drive D:. Click proceed if you wish to create bootable UNATTENDED recovery and utility disc including the entire contents of your present harddrive. Have a nice day".

I've been looking at programs for this purpose and they seem to have rather steep learning curves. Seems a shame that there is nothing with just ONE option button that would fulfill this pretty basic requirement.

Anything out there? Other suggestions?
