i wanted to test an ieshell browser that controlled activex dependantly from ie.. being most popular and i've never tried before , i chose avant.. later in kmeleon i was trying to archive a page as mht and i got the exact error subscript exceeded some people were experiencing with autoit mht (mainly ie object calls blocked).

that was 2 days ago and since the nly thing i added since was avant i suspected it and uninstalled it and mht save function was restored at once. to make certain, i installed its predecessor maxthon and it prevented mht save from working as well. i don't really know the bug or have a solution because i have no idea what those 2 browsers did but it's definitely a registry thing.. an uninstall or a registry restoration should fix the problem.

if you're having problems with mht save especially with ones that use ie calls and you have one of those 2 browsers or other maxthon(ie2) variants..then try remooving them first(clean uninstall)

other ieshells may also cause that problem but the ones i know for certain are avant and maxthon.. avoid those very badly coded shells please.

sleipnir, lunascape and other japanese donut-family shells do not cause that problem
