I used to be registered as 888 on this forum before it was moved to sourceforge last year.
Since that time my login/password doesn't work (I even tried just now, all it says my pass is incorrect or that the username is already in use by someone else - I guess it means me).
how do I fix it, I don't see any "reset password" or "mail me my password" or any other options but "register new user"?
I think the best thing to try is to get a moderator to log 888 off the forum so that you can try to login again. No, I am not a moderator. Hopefully one will see this and reply.
888, send me the mail address used to create the user, and I'll delete it to allow you to register again.

If only I remembered which email I used few years ago!
Most of the time, for public forums, I usually use something like mailinator or other "disposable emails"...
To help you, it's a gmail box.

I send a mail to the addy mentioned in Your skin. Confirm you still own it.
Moderators can give You a new pwd & send it by mail (They can not see existing ones).
Sorry guenter, I haven't found the way to change the password. So, I have deleted it and tell him to create again his account.

Deletion didn't work, I just tried to register again as "888" and it says user name is in use.
I have received email from sterntaler and replied, but he hasn't replied yet.
Me too ... I don't understand where is the problem. I think this is an old problem dated when the base had been moved. I remember there will have similar problems at this time, but these problems where cleared when deleting the account and recreating it.

1.) It is stuck between deleted and undeleted. Forum search still finds the posts from 2 years ago and earlier & that 888 has 20 posts. But when You click see profile - it cannot be found.
2.) sterntaler or sterndaler are ancient nicks aka = guenter.
I am in Central European Time Zone - AFAIK You are Pacific Time? / anyway, all Canadian time zones are several hours past most moderators' zones.
AFAIK only jsnj is near Your time zone.
