There is a K-Meleon plugin that checks once a week. I would activate it.

1.5.4 is not scheduled for a fixed date but before RC issue a pre-release is fed to the guinea pigs. So Release will arrive some day of this winter as kko says - provided none finds dead rodents.

As far as I know I have the plug-in activated ~ F2 - K-Meleon Plug-ins - Update Checker (box ticked).

I was just curious when I saw that about 1.5.4 in Wiki as I had not seen anything about betas or release candidates. I am so glad that I have K-Meleon now that SeaMonkey 2.0 is giving me problems. In fact I've virtually stopped using SM 2.0. The betas & RCs of SM 2.0 worked fine. It was almost exactly a year ago that I first downloaded KM (1.5.1) & I had some problems with the bookmarks so I had to uninstall it. Luckily KM is working fine now & is rapidly becoming my favourite browser.

p.s. AFAIK the origin of 1. April jokes was at the beginning of a new year - which was later in an older calender. We are not that far.

1.5.4 will come when devs have free time (after their job).
My guess: France and Germany have Xms holidays - maybe after that?
No matter when exactly - most of the wait should be over

Well, it fooled me. I'm fairly stupid though. I am not that impatient for the upgrades, it's just that I have got KM set up really well & I always worry about upgrades. I remember the Firefox #2 to #3 upgrade. It was a bit of a disaster for me. I hope the KM upgrades go smoothly.

Hey, please be careful with such jokes, especially on sites like wp! Like Guenter mentioned, if it had been April 1st, one might have found it suspicious, but all the other dates don't mean anything special to me (and probably the big majority of people) ;-)

daveski, dn't worry about updates within the same release..like across 1.5.x(1.5.1, 1.5.2 etc) usually shouldn't be a porblem and can even use the same profile settings without problems..just major version updates like from 1.1.x to 1.5.x or from 1.5.x to the future 1.6 that probably requires a clean install because you can't use the same profile or same macros because there will be significant updates in macro language and browser core
