Hi,

In the preferences there are settings for opening tabs in the background for typed urls etc. - Is there someway i can open a new TAB in the background when I control+click a link ?

Thankyou

I thought it's clear in the Preferences? Can't check right now sorry.
But most people prefer anyway the firefox setting, middle-clicking a link to open it in background. This is quickly set in Tools/Mouse Accels / Firefox. Detailled settings of those are explained in FAQ.

CTRL RButton is default for D_OPEN_LINK_IN_BACKGROUNDTAB.
