A collective archive of more than a 100 skins by various authors, updated to K-Meleon 1.6 beta toolbars.cfg's code changes. My thanks go to the original creators of the free icons and skins.

The package can be used to extract and use the individual skins - else selective, individual skins can be transformed into installable packages. The archive was originally created to do the later.

Enjoy. The K-Meleon 1.6 skin archive cannot be downloaded from xthost anymore - they stopped their service. I thank them for being able to use their server.

And happy to say, just tested what happens if I add those tab history menus from KM1.6 to a skin used in KM1.5.4 on win98se, and it doesn't harm! All works just as before, so those skins can be used in KM16 and KM154 alike Unless that's different on newer systems...? ;-)

Discarded some files & freed space at: http://user.xthost.info/kmupdate to host the:

K-Meleon 1.5 skin archive for download from xthost also - until they stop their service.

Just in case someone still needs it.


p.s. siria, it was not time consuming after I found how to selectively choose the files that needed update with Phase 5 German html Editor's multiple file search and replace tool.

Not really. The amount of time I needed decreased ever since 2007.

Maybe only no DNS resolution today. The same for dhost.info which is not scheduled to be terminating service soon & is hosted there too. I will check again tomorrow and maybe get a new page for the upload.

I keep this collection/archive of only about 150 old skins updated.

New skins, skins that have an active maintainer and skins that have a different bars sequecnce are not included. So there are more skin on K-Meleon Russia & in SF Wiki's themes section.

But I know no skin called "The Village". I only know that some ppl called some skin (Boxed-Classic) with parts of a famous Tang Dynasty picture as back.bmp "the village theme". The picture shows an ancient Chinese town and its surroundings. The background is currently only bundled with TangColored skin. Its images are based on Tang icons for Maxthon (Skin Design AFAIK by imrockit and HgS). The Tang ÌÆÔÏ icon set was used with K-Meleon CCF. Many Maxton skins have been ported to K-Meleon. Both Boxed-Classic and TangColored are part of the mentioned collection.

Works again 26 January 2011. Inspite of their claim that they shut down their service in 2010.

Alternative Download Location.

Let's hope they are not down at the same time.

Note that these archives are intended to be used by the skins creators so that they can compile installable skin.exes easily.
