K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Hello!
I have a problem. I am using a 1.7 site version and a 1.7 dugbug version. The problem is that on dugbug version the loading site icon (favicon) is not showing on loading bar.
Any thoughts?
It's not probably a bugbug problem, but something which is known since a few time.
Just remove iconcache.dat in the profile folder and the functionnality will work again.

I've tried that. No luck. I think is maybe some pref setting or about:config setting.

I found something. I did a fresh customization on both versions. I did not installed but used as portable. If i run kmeleon from other partition then the one i have installed the OS ( Windows 7 Ultimate) respectivly Program Files, the tray icon (favicon) changes when loading a webpage. If i run Kmeleon from Program Files ( offcourse not installed) the tray icon remains the same every time i load a web page.

Where is located your profile ?
Under user ou Program Files ?

You are right! This was the problem. The thing is i dis take ownership over Program Files, but nothing. When i moved kmeleon folder to Users, it was all good.
In fact, it was just necessary to move the profile folder, not all the k-meleon folder.
To make it and keep all the parameters of the profile, just remove profile.ini in k-meleon folder
Launch K-Meleon which will create a new profile under the win user profile (C:\Documents & Settings\<user>\Application Datas\K-Meleon... for XP, don't know for Vista and Seven)
Quit K-meleon and move dat files from old profile to new:
accel.cfg if modified
bookmarks.html
cookies.sqlite
gestures.xml if modified
history.dat
IconCache.dat
menus.cfg if modified
permissions.sqlite
signons.txt
user.js if modified (just have a look to see if old path traces in it)
