Hi,

I'd like to make (and later publish, hence the question) a skin heavily inspired by the my favorite old (and defunct since 1.5) firefox theme, in fact even using some of its icons.
It can be seen
here (wth a screenshot)
I have tried to contact Mr. Tanabe, but with no luck.

ANY help appreciated!!

skins are almost always gpl or creative commons.. just to make sure, check the license for that skin.
in okhotska it states it's gpl so you needn't really worry about getting written permission as long as you include same license block.

port the skin normally to kmeleon and then include a readme.txt mentioning the name of the original skin author and then add thispart (his license)

p/s it's a nice skin and worth getting ported

couple of files to get you started..you'll need to create other icons/toolbar bitmaps and toolbars.cfg corresponding to the bitmaps

thanks a lot, you have already done the bigger part of the work, haven't you?
Alas, I'm concentrating on other things these weeks, so I won't get started with it for a while. Is there anybody who wants to take over?
