Help needed ..Pink Panther Theme messed my search button
Date: December 19, 2009 06:40PM

Right ....The stupid PInk Panther theme just messed my K-meleon settings I worked to hard to set...

NOw after i installed the stupid PInk Panther theme my girlfriend has noted that the search button in the tool bar is misbehaving...

Whenever she is typing something in Japanese the google displays garbled charachters only...

Funny enough when i am using CRTL G and type in Japanese the output from the Google is perfectly normal ...the characters are perfectly displayed...

Same thing for the URL Search Bar....Whenever she is typing something in Japanese the in the address bar google displays normal charachters ...

I looked around within search.xml menus.cfg and all the obvious places....

It is almost as if the tool bar search button is connected to a different macro or a different search engine..

So...does anyone knows a way around this??

SO what am i missing ???

Cheers guys..

Crazy... grinning smiley
Sounds like wrong encoding? Where is that thing to download? Can you perhaps unzip it and figure out what it does? Does this happen only with that skin set, or for all skins?

I looked sketchily to that pink skin.
Though I'm by far no expert the main culprit IMO is the toolbars.cfg packed with the pink skin.
You will have to rewrite it according to your main.kmm .
As a guide you can look to the original toolbars.cfg in the klassic skin.
Don't forget to check also the menuicons.cfg by comparing it with that of the Klassic skin.
Also check the name of the toolbars (pink) and in case they are different to rename them accordingly.

Woah, for heavens sake don't start such complicated stuff for this, LOL! New macros... All it takes is to have the current commands in the toolbar.cfg, that you easily can copy over from klassic grinning smiley

Hmm... no wait... hasn't Guenter updated all those ancient skins to work with KM 1.5 last year...?
Found it, but not sure about versions, try with the attached one here...

I've updated the theme and I've also have an explanation to the problem.
you have to change the address www.google.se in google search in search9.kmm to your language to make it work for you for example: since I'm from sweden it will say www.google.se but i don't know what your adress will be. It could be .de if you come from Germany or .co.uk if you are from England or .us if you are from
United States. So make sure it has the right adress in search9.kmm that i've put in the zipfile.

Yours: Rapido
