P.S.
A few of them are shareware, but can be used
in Linux with wine for a longer time,
creating a new .wine configuration, possibly
renaming the older .wine folder to
e.g. .wine2, and renaming it back to .wine
after having used the shareware.
In Windows they would cost something after
the evaluation period. But not much.

(Note : Inkscape, Abiword, Gnumeric, Gimp, OpenOffice are the
standard apps in Linux, and mostly already present in
the distros, the Windows versions are highly recommended
for Windows users too, all free.)

PSPad an editor with some interesting features [freeware]
Finance 2003 a bank program (but in french only) [freeware]

SumatraPDF a simple pdf reader [free]

Harbour a Clipper and more compiler

Not exactly a wine program, because the version is compiled under Linux, and is now a real Linux program, but originally, was under MS-DOS and Windows, and now with some adaptations, can compile dos programs. For example, I'm making a crossword program I made during years 90-95 under Linux (it's now a Linux program).
