K-Meleon works like a charm on LinuxMint 17.3 via Wine 1.6.2!

ad 8) Zoom works with STRG + and - also with STRG+mouse wheel smiling smiley

Glad that i found that low-resource browser. BIG THX to devs!!

Are there any sources around that could be compiled with GNU-C for Linux?

What do you mean with STRG ?

I don't think it will be possible to build K-Meleon under Linux, as it uses Microsoft code.

Guenter or Dorian would be able to confirm.

I do not think that guenter knows enough about building "to confirm". Whether anything can be currently build with GNU compiler tools with or without changes only Dorian knows.

p.s. Historically the kmeleon plugins could be build with GNU/free C compiler tools but I never tried that. I only know from notes I read many years ago. I assume that means GNU for Windows only. The last plugin I know to be build with GNU compiler tools was an older version of spellcheck. I tried to rebuild but did not even manage to get the toolchain going for a rebuild.

K-Meleon.exe requires MFC resources which still may come with free Microsoft handouts if You are lucky ( I only know the situation at one time in the distant past ) - but You are probably not allowed to install them under Linux and You are probably not allowed to build specifically for non MS OSes.

Just for anybody who's interested, 75.1 runs perfectly in Puppy Linux, under WINE 1.7.51, and using the latest version of FlashPlayer, 24.0.0.194.

And wonderfully low on resources, too! (*Bonus*)

Just FYI=>
WINE 5.x is really quite amazing & runs windoze apps WAY better than the 3.x versions could do.

It is what I use & sadly 75.1 still force closes much of the time.
