Under wine, the bookmark properties are not displayed, but can be modified in bookmark editor for KM 1.53, 1.54 and S201. We work like a blind man.

Have you noticed it ? Probably a K-Meleon bug.

Does Wine support Favorites?

Yes, seems to be a bug, but not a bad one.

Favorites work in Wine in the official 1.5.3 version.
In KM-F and KM-S201 the favorites kplugin is not included
by default, but favorites.dll could be copied from
1.5.3 to the kplugins folder, and then enabled
in the Preferences panel.
In addition, menus.cfg in the folder/defaults/settings
would have to be adapted :
after the line
# ----- Main
you will find

Main{

:&File

:&Edit

:&View

%ifplugin bookmarks

:&Bookmarks

%endif

add after that :

%ifplugin favorites

:F&avorites

%endif

and save menus.cfg to its original place.
(not as menus.cfg.txt , but as menus.cfg !)

Hum, I don't understand the interest to use favorite under Linux, except perhaps for a dual boot XP-Linux, and keeping favorites on XP partition.

I have tried the IE fake of wine, it doesn't display something (just a blank window), and as it's a gecko engine, it doesn't give something more than K-Meleon. So I disable ie.kmm automatically.

Several years ago I came to KM from IE. Never looked back and don't use IE anymore. I did have a lot of IE Favorites. I use them instead of Bookmarks, with which I have no experiance. It would be much easier for me to copy my Favorites files over to the other computer than to print the list somehow and go to each site and save it as a bookmark.

You can Import your favorites files to a Bookmark file.
In K-Meleon Bookmarks you have this option to Import your favorites.
