Angel Writer Angel Writer is a free text editor allowing you to create impressive documents that contain formatted text, graphics and tables.
angelwriter is the kmeleon of rich document editors.. good for editing basic html pages too. only drawback is it doesn't support unicode so it's strictly a latin-only editor.. comes included with an english dictionary.

Have you checked free & portable
Jarte? It might surprise you -- I'm sure it does Unicode.

On a side note, I find difficult to understand how the developer of Angel Soft wouldn't find a way to accommodate Unicode, as he's from an eastern country and therefore writes cyrilic...

angelwriter is the kmeleon of rich document editors..
Angel Writer claims to be primarily a word processor ("Power of free Microsoft Word for you!")
However it can't render DOC.
Therefore those looking for a (basic) lightweight and very fast word processor alternative might be interested in
AtlantisNova which can render DOC as well.

I have no idea how to use this or even if it'll work with K-Meleon, so I thought I'd let others decide for themselves. :s

those are javascript bookmarks.. usually they are browser-specific and most of them are written for firefox.. few around for ie and opera. you add those to your bookmarks so they appear as buttons and on clicking on them the perform certain actions to modify the page(zoom, print etc) and sometimes to launch external universal applications(notepad, paint).. they were very popular when browsers lacked those features by default and it was easier and more practical to perform them via js than by extensions.. now they are mostly useless and they can be risky as they require js to be enabled.
the link you posted appears to be for firefox..it could work for kmeleon but it's not really needed as its all built-in in kmeleon

paul, facbook is quite fishy.. i read somehwhere that one of their major contributors was raised in east germany(berlin-ost) by a single mum.. apparently the mum was an important operative for the cia(recruiting).. and a couple of years before the wall came down; she fled to west germany and right after she was given american citizenship/passport and flown directly to the states.. years later, the son graduated from a very prestigious american university.. point is..anywhere you look, facebook's got cia written all over it.
that's why competiton is good.. better features for us the users
