I have only recently discovered this but has been out for 10 years.

Looks like it would be one of the most important security features to
incorporate on a computer. I have been told that lots of the most
dangerous computer attacks are done through scripts. Anyone have any
advanced information on this?

Does anyone know of other programs similar to this?

yep.. marketing will do that but who cares, apple never focused on 'selling' safari for windows users

you know why they are fighting over the first spots.. it's not about proving we are the better software since we have more users, it's about money..the little royalties they collect for ads/search engine and tracking. for windows and mac, it isn't really about that.. ms doesn't care for the little cash.. it was about domination 'we provide the os and we will provide the browser'..apple as well makes its money else where and they wouldn't care less, they just want to have a decent browser for their apple computers but for opera, mozilla and google it's all about user base..the bigger it is the more money they will make.. they will rip each other apart to 'convert' users from the other side. it's all very pathetic

this is from mozilla execs who for the longest part were sleeping with google.. google always had privacy issues and firefox or seamonkey for that matter felt like they were built with google in mind and suddenly out of the blue google became evil and they have privacy issues? all what happened is things've changed and the honeymoon was over when google released chrome. now that google has decided to take a bite from their pie, they have to hit back and now they are endorsing bing
