Suggested to trust MS and Google. What do we want with an apps that trusts apps by them but not from K-Meleon.org. tongue sticking out smiley

Just got done updating my firewall and anti-virus.... am using the outpost security suite free version with Avast 5.1.... works great JUST so long as you install Avast first (then Outpost recognizes another anti-virus program and automatically disables its own anti-virus module). Nice combo as Outpost now includes an anti-spam module.... And, yes, KM is not bothered by this firewall.

Not true guenter, Privatefirewall is a good enough firewall, I haven't had the problem you mentioned, I have been using PF since quite a long while and am very happy with it - but that's just my opinion.

I had the same problem namely that it didn't allowed Km at all. I then opened Km and my internet connection, than I opened PF and set it to training mode. Then it was OK.

Or try to set it in training mode, than open Km and net connection.

PF got 86% at Matousec while Outpost Free Suite got 97%. Both are excellent.

It can probably not. It does not allow to edit.

Not even on trainings mode. Will experiment with Outpost or stay with ZoneAlarm.

If you have ZoneAlarm firewall free version, it scored only 7 out of 100 at Matousec. Even ZoneAlarm Extreme Security got only 59.

Switch to Outpost ASAP grinning smiley.

I've tested all the freeware firewalls, and if you're having a problem with PrivateFirewall or Outpost, I'd suggest OnlineArmor. It's completely configurable, and you can even set exclusions of complete folders.
