Representative democracy

I guess that is "other" in the survey.

Supposed to represent all the people in a district or state. In fact they usually represent the special interest group which gives the most money to their re-election bid.

The United (Police) States, with less than 10% of world population and a ¼ of the total imprisoned people on the planet, is by all measures a (pseudo-democratic) plutocracy...

My 2¢.

All the punditry aside, it is a mazing so few natural born US Citizens realize that we are a Republic. Yet all of our political so-called leaders boast loudly that they carry a pocket reference or our Consitition AT ALL TIMES. Too bad they don't bother to read it! BTW, I'll bet non-natural born US Citizens know the real-deal.

As Oscar Wilde said : "it doesn't matter who you vote for, it's always the government that gets in".
