Why does no one ever suggest Apple's MacOS as a possible alternative to Microsoft's Windows?

Because it's not an open OS, and Apple is too much intrusive !

regional IP-blocking, maybe?
Try to use VPN, proxy or anonymizer.
Psiphon, Ultramark, Lantern are simple apps for this.

So I changed my default UA string to my favourite:

Scary new Win10 bug:
when using it to move, cut-paste or drag-drop files on a USB-MTP-connected Android phone, those files may vanish completely, and not even recovery tools can't help anymore.
Android not completely innocent either, as even on some Linux computers files were reported deleted.
