Well, there is shock over at MSFN as the news has become known. One of the supervisors ... Tripredacus has posted some further information.

Kels, will do but you need to understand one thing. I live alone with 10 years autistic daughter and have some kind financial issues this month. MSFN is on the edge to be canceled from hosting provider. That's the reason I answer to donators personally.

Anyway who will have backup of all this knowledge from the MSFN's board ?
I think that knowledge from the board should be packed and uploaded somewhere.
This case IMHO is similar to TrueCrypt when suddenly developers disappeared.
Maybe a "secret" company/agency decide to shutdown another site ?
(to make XP dead completely and now people can be spied with new NT OS-es).

Have no more information but something is going on over at MSFN ... it has gone offline at least twice over the last 3 to 4 hours for updates. They may have been scheduled but updates seem a bit strange with only 2 days left.

But they can only take paypal, which is an absolute no go safetywise.
But what a shame, all it needs to rescue such an invaluable resource of free computing is some 200 bucks?? Sigh.
Things would be so much easier for precious computer stuff on the web if only donating would be possible anonymous and riskless like in local city shops :-/
