those "emergency" patches back in Jan. 2018 only fixed the security flaws on 64bit systems but not under 32bit systems.
Until this month (March 2018)

The 32bit version of the KB4088875 rollup update for x86 Windows 7 SP1 contains the fix, however, this specific update causes blue screen errors when installed on old computers using CPUs with either PAE disabled (or not available) or CPUs that do not have SSE2 support [ex. amd athlon xp, intel pentium 3, etc.]
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4088875
Microsoft has documented these problems in the support article.
those using 32bit Win7 on these ancient (non-SSE2/non-PAE) CPUs should avoid installing the KB4088875 update until Microsoft comes up with a newer fix for this.
I made sure that I no longer use any more "legacy" processor chips that lack SSE2, PAE & NX/XD support as I just replaced the motherboard that used AMD Athlon XP CPUs in my relative's old HP/Compaq computer with a used board that uses either at least Intel Pentium 4 HT or Pentium D CPUs (socket lga775 or newer). So ALL the PCs that I've encountered use processor chips with SSE2/NX/PAE and I won't deal with anymore compatibility problems with newer Win7 updates released in 2018 & beyond and modern programs.
