Anixx uses a custom skin without 'main.ico' in its folder. Your current 'locales/ru/kmeleon.dll' was made for a customized K-Meleon version and doesn't include icon group 128.
I use the default k-meleon skin. On the first k-meleon/goanna release the icon is shown properly. On the last one it is not
My locale is russian, indeed

if you have win7 or later, please try official pale moon build.
if it still fails, open a bug report in their github/forum.

@Mala Okeh

- In the past:
K-Meleon based on Gecko did use the layout and ECMAScript engine of Firefox ESR it was based on.
If something didn't work with the the respective Firefox ESR, no way it could have worked with K-Meleon (Gecko).

- At present:
K-Meleon based on Goanna is using the layout and ECMAScript engine of Pale Moon.
If something doesn't work with Pale Moon, no way it can be fixed to work with K-Meleon (Goanna).

p.s. Somehow - raise money for expenses like better hardware for devs maybe by adverts or renting out default search engine position would be a great.
Although I responded to this at http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?19,143253,144753#msg-144753 I recently discovered that there are initiatives such as Liberapay or OpenCollective that developers could take advantage to obtain additional funding for the project (at least marginally) without having to put advertising in the browser or add/change the search engine.

Such a prepared, but overridable list matches perfectly my personal browser philosophy:
The browser you control - but if you don't have the time or skills, it helps you a bit with the most frequent probs. Always under the condition: those automatics are not FORCED upon expert users who want it different.
In this case, uaoverrides.inc could be converted into a list of external useragents (for example, to be used in a macro) replacing the variables of type @GK_VERSION@ with the information corresponding to the browser/engine and then extract the useragents in a format that can be used in K-meleon. The following Python script shows how it could be done:
import re
overrides = open(r"C:\path\to\uaoverrides.inc", "r").read()
variables_regexp = re.compile("@[^@]+@")
# Return the names and values of preferences in tuples with format (xxx, yyy)
# To extract the raw preferences use re.compile('pref\(.+') instead
pref_extractor = re.compile('pref\("([^"]+)","([^"]+)')
variable_names = list(set(variables_regexp.findall(overrides)))
#Variables used in prefs
variables= {
    "@FX_SLICE@": "",
    "@GK_SLICE@": "Gecko/20100101",
    "@GK_VERSION@": "",
    "@GRE_DATE_SLICE@": "Goanna/20170101",
    "@GRE_VERSION@": "",
    "@GRE_VERSION_SLICE@": "",
    "@GUAO_PREF@": "general.useragent.override",
    "@OS_SLICE@": "Windows NT 6.1; WOW64",
    "@PM_SLICE@": ""
}

for variable in variable_names:
    if variables.has_key(variable):
        overrides = overrides.replace(variable, variables[variable])

# Get results
pref_extractor.findall(overrides)

Is Goanna vulnerable to Meltdown and Spectre problems? :s
I know they have already responded to this but I will still leave my comment about it.
Short answer: No.
Long answer-annex: Since Pale Moon 27.7 are working on mitigating those vulnerabilities (for example in this commit or this other one) and since Roytam usually merges the changes that are made in the Pale Moon repository with the K-meleon code, then I imagine that the browser must have the same integrated solutions. Also, in this thread you can check if the browser is vulnerable (although I don't know how reliable that test is).

In this thread of the Pale Moon forum they solved a similar problem by modifying the useragent (seems that it also works by disabling Flash).
I remember there was also a problem with Dropbox, if that is still the case maybe this could help.

In proceedings of forum a lot of examples.

Downloaded xpi from firefox: adguard, bluhell firewall, ublock origin; tryied to install addon from file = unsuccessful

Current test version out of the box.
Bluhell can be installed. Wait till... Then install.
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/bluhell-firewall/
No idea about the others.

If an addon does not install from the net.
Download with a chrome. Make sure the xpi has the correct name.
Like used in install.rdf. Example is Newsfox ID.

<em:id>{899DF1F8-2F43-4394-8315-37F6744E6319}</em:id>

So it is {899DF1F8-2F43-4394-8315-37F6744E6319}.xpi
Or without brackets and xpi if it must be installed unpacked.

Then place it into K-Meleon/browser/extensions
That often works even for non compatible addon versions

You can also try to add with correct KM version to install.rdf.

<em:targetApplication>
<Description>
<em:id>{944df56f-c0ec-4d7b-94b6-f625c8cc96ea}</em:id>
<em:minVersion>74.0</em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion>76.0</em:maxVersion>
</Description>
</em:targetApplication>

Download Adguard Werbeblocker or ublock origin and try it the described way.

Or add https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/checkcompatibility/
first an try then.

Sometimes You have to get an older or never version of an addon.

Addons for the current Firefox do not work anymore!

From what I can see after downloading the current version of ublock with a chrome browser variant You will need an older version.

https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/versions/

Probably for this one too.
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/adguard-adblocker/versions/

Go up and down till You find one that K-Meleon will voluntary install.
If nothing installs? Look for which version they are made.
Download and force it like I described.

@J.G.
Depends on usage scenario. I always recommend (in General) silentblock. Dorian's minimal adblock is a great solution (if you're writing filters rules yourself). In fact, minimal Dorian's adblock + silentblock + built-in (in browser) CSS filter, can do any range of locks.
...
Of course, this will have to deal with the peculiarities of their work. But the result is worth it.
