One more step
Please complete the security check to access o.rths.cf

LOL. And my old version cannot do Captcha. Guess I missed an update or two.

Back to the roots when I had to use another browser to download K-Meleon 0.6?

Or excluded for good - since my chrome knock off says:

This webpage is not available

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

But never mind.

p.s. Thx to all for giving me a browser since 0.6

@guenter

Not really it is clear about what problems there is a speech, always it is possible to use a mirror without any SSL: http://o.rthost.win/ (or with SSL https://o.rthost.win/).
Everything works even in very old versions of iE.
...
You say that you used chrome, here it is important to consider the policy of Google in imposing of work through SSL (otherwise the website is marked as potentially dangerous, but these are monopolistic manners of corporation).

P/S: the system of indication about PM does not work at a forum, you already over a year did not pay attention to the answer in PM.

The trouble started today when several pages wanted to captcha.
Not only the link here. And my mostly used 20171223 never could do captcha.
With Capcha it does not even recognize a button click to start.

I do not have IE.

Yes I know US monopolies games and patronizing. Today, I took several hours to persuade Chrome Advance Version to use Yahoo.com US instead of de and they claiming that the passwords were not right. In fact all chrome versions freaked out on me today. They were trying to be smart and pressed me for my telefon nr. courtesy on NSA... or their advertisements partners or whatever.

Yes a year. I have other chores and also interests besides K-Meleon.
Even for extended periods of over a year.

I finally got KM76.1.1-Goanna-20190309 downloaded with a Firefox ESR52 (after Palemeon also freaked) and got it going now except for the addons that do not work and are not recognized. I will have some time at a later date - maybe I will find out what has changed.

Never mind and thank You for Your answer.

@roytam1

The feature is noticed at expanded testing. It is not a error in pure form, but nevertheless it is quite unpleasant. About 3 years ago, the way for native start was found on XP SP2. And this way ideally worked until 2018-01-21.

I missed this moment as I use 2K and 2K3. On 2K3 this problem does not meet as a class, and 2K with an expanded kernel has no remarks and everything works.

Now even on the clean not modified XP SP2 it is possible to receive BSOD with the code 0xс000021a, after several starts.

Recorded the detailed video with demonstration of a problem in different options:
(direct link) http://getfile.dokpub.com/yandex/get/https://yadi.sk/d/vXLfJWRnJx0jBA (~522 Kcool smiley

If you have time look what can be made. On SP3 of it does not occur, but the system definitely should not fall out in BSOD on SP2.

Funny, because this exact function call (GetLogicalProcessorInformation) from Process Explorer 16.xx was killing me this last weekend.

It hangs because the function is compiled towards XP SP3, as minimum requirement:

@JohnHell

/* off topic

Long time, (about once a year) I make full copy of all Sysinternals tools. If it is necessary I have a full mirror of their website still when there source codes of many tools were laid out. As for Process Explorer, I consciously use earlier version for many reasons (and universality one of them).

*/ off topic

Returning to KM, if shortage of required function (how strongly required ?! considering that KM works at only one processor kernel, it is whims of new versions M$ VC rather) it can be compensated by substitution of dll (for XP SP2, as example).

But BSOD arises irrespective of DLL version (even if DLL from SP3). I.e. function is performed, there something else.

Thanks for search direction. It was necessary to be played with debugger and analyzer of dump, but as a result everything turned out! KM works now for XP SP2 again (the code of browser is not required to be changed)! A necessary patch for OS and video I will upload a bit later (a little additional testing).

Thanks again!

Mello,

most of fixes simply mean for users that they again are able to browse sites that lose compatibility with old engine.

For example: old builds (Goanna 3.4.2-based) cannot browse instagram.com recent days (many errors in Console), but new 3.4.4-based - do support Instagram in full.

But some scripting things aren't supported by Goanna 3.x at all - so we cannot use (in most of features) aliexpress.com as well as have some crucial problems with some other popular sites.

So our hopes are that roytam1 will succeed in building KM over Goanna 4 some day.

Thank you, roytam1!

Could you say, is there any chance, that KM (and Goanna 3) will support aliexpress.com and rutube.ru?

Aliexpress doesn't load some crucial script (or something else), making site almost useless:

Rutube doesn't load any video at all:

Thank you, roytam1!

Could you say, is there any chance, that KM (and Goanna 3) will support aliexpress.com and rutube.ru?

Aliexpress doesn't load some crucial script (or something else), making site almost useless:

Rutube doesn't load any video at all:

it seems that they want features from newer gecko engines.

Hi Roytam1, first of all thanks for giving us the world of KM Goanna, I very much appreciate.
secondly, there is a problem with all KM versions (official+Goanna), and that is it does not display this site, mostly blanks pages:
daraz.pk

see details here:

http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,148823
I humbly request you to solve this issue, any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks

A very good browser it is very fast.
But there are some errors: When I open a link, the browser reopens completely instead of opening a new tab.
And why is Youtube displayed in the old design?
If you open a new tab, for example, only the first letter of the website will be displayed, you could make the tab slightly larger.

You could also integrate the Ublock Origin extension, which blocks more advertising ads.
